A Message From Your Teachers
Some Advice for Students
It is important to remember that you will be reading and rereading texts more than once.
Even if you have read a novel over the summer, you must do the readings again when they are assigned in class. This course is not just about text comprehension, but about deepening your understanding of the language, which requires multiple CLOSE reading exercises.
You should always ANNOTATE (highlight or underline) when you read! This helps you organize your work and find information easily.
USEFUL TIP!
Sticky notes are a GREAT resource to help you mark pages and take notes

I can hardly believe that the inaugural year of the American International Section has come to a close! It has been such a rewarding year getting to know the students and I sincerely look forward to seeing everything that they can accomplish over the course of the AIS program.
Thank you to all students for the energy and enthusiasm that you brought to the classroom this year, and a big thank you to the parents who have supported the program along the way. I wish you all a wonderful summer vacation full of family, friends, and of course, reading!

The inaugural year of the American International Section / section internationale américaine (AIS / SIA) at the French School of Seoul / Lycée français de Séoul, saw 52 middle school students enrolled in the program and provided them with the opportunity to broaden their academic and cultural horizons through a course of study combining the French and American curriculums. We are very proud of what all of our students have accomplished over the past year and look forward to helping them progress even further in the years to come! Congratulations to everyone on a job well done and have a safe and well-deserved break this summer!
